Clearwater Named Most Affordable By Tripping.com

Tripping.com released its list of the 25 “Most Affordable Snowbird Destinations”  last week. Clearwater has been named the most affordable destination for snowbirds by travel website Tripping.com. Three other Florida cities were named top locations, including New Smyrna Beach, Haines City and St. Petersburg. Affordability, warm weather, and entertainment amenities, were some of the metrics used to determine the list.  “Clearwater offers the best value for snowbird vacation rentals in addition to thriving downtown nightlife and a popular shopping district,” said Tripping.com representative Kellie Pelletier. “Clearwater is perfect for snowbirds looking for a place to return to on a yearly basis, as the city’s rapid growth means there will be something new to explore every time you visit this top Florida snowbird destination.”  Read the full story here.

 

St Pete Beach Innaugural Bikefest

The first St. Pete Beach BikeFest is scheduled for November 15-19th. Scheduled events include concerts, bike shows, poker runs, barbecues, beer chugs, and bikini contests. All events are free and open to the public. Concerts start at 8 pm each night and are free, with beer and food available for purchase. The music lineup includes Vince Neil, Colt Ford and Queensryche. Powerboat P1 USA Race Comes To St Pete Beach

St Pete Beach will play host to round three of the P1 SuperStock USA Championship June 17th & 18th. The fleet of P1 Panthers will race side-by-side across a two-mile course along St Pete Beach. Tripadvisor Names Clearwater Beach #1

Tripadvisor has just released it’s annual Traveler’s Choice Awards. Two Tampa Bay beaches made the top 10. Clearwater Beach was named #1, and St Pete beach ranked #4. :
